Ready the arsenal

• A nail file to trim your nails.
• Two different shades of nail polish, one for the tip and the other for the remaining nail portion.
• Clear nail polish for finishing coat(s).
• Nail tapes to protect the shades.
• A nail polish remover to remove old nail polish.
• A tiny brush to clean under nails.

Get rid of any relics

No silly, we ain’t suggesting that you throw away the precious antiques from your parents’ collection; simply be done with your old nail polish. Depending on the previous nail polish, you may wash or apply a nail polish remover to dispense with it. File and trim your nails. Wash and clean the nails once again to remove the residuals after filing.

Apply the nail tapes

You need to apply nail tape on each of your fingernails. Ensure that the tapes stick to your nails properly. Remember to apply the tapes just beneath the region, wherein the color of your nail alters, from white to its natural color. Now, apply the nail polish to the tip. Color the tip in the direction of the tape.

Paint the remaining portion

Once the color on the tip dries out, remove the nail tape. Use the other nail polish shade of your nail polish to paint the remaining part of the nail. Be very careful; you don’t wanna mingle the paints. Let the final shade dry before applying a single (or more, as per your wish) coating of clear nail polish to top it off.
